About Jan
Who are you and what do you do? Give a potential new client some free advice. "I'm Jan and I deliver driving lessons in the Symington, Troon, and Prestwick areas. Work hard, let's have some fun along the way, and get this done!"
What music are you into? "I love various genres of music but my favourite bands are Snow Patrol and David Gray."
Who do you look up to most in the world and why? "My parents! They have done a good job so far of guiding me through life."
One interesting fact about you? "I’m an animal and nature lover and I'm not too bad at identifying various species of bird & plants."
Where in the world are you, or what are you doing, when at your happiest? "In my camper van (that I don’t yet own lol) and exploring the north-west coast of Scotland and the islands. I love a great beach and a wonderful view."
What's the best thing about being an ADI? "Meeting and getting to know various people from different walks of life, watching them grow in confidence with each lesson, and then getting a pass result to enjoy one of life's greatest freedoms."

“I literally cannot say thank you enough to Jan. Today I passed first time despite my anxiety with her supporting and believing me always, even when I doubted myself and felt like my anxiety and life was overwhleming me. She’s really patient, and lessons with her are like going out for a drive with a friend. She’s got a whiteboard and some toy cars and magnets to draw things out for you to help explain manoeuvres, junctions, the works. She’s fine with taking photos or recordings of the whiteboard too if you want to rewatch her explaining between lessons. And honestly she goes above and beyond for her learners to find what works for them. You can tell she really genuinely cares. For me she suggested created a list or drawing of what I can and can’t control, which helped a bunch. No question is too small, or silly. There’s plenty jokes and laughs, with a balance of seriousness too in all the right places. Overall she’s just a fabulous lady, and as much as I’ll miss lessons, I’ll still stay in touch.
